Brain Connection By far the best collection of articles on brain-based learning I've found.They also send out a weekly e-mail newsletter, The Brain Buzz with updates of trends in the industry.
Funderstanding Funderstanding's website provides basic overviews of many educational theories.  Their write up on brain-based education is succinct and well done.


Creative Training Ideas
Creative Training Techniques Bob Pike is the master of creativity in the world of training. This link points to the handouts from the ASTD 2001 conference.  His main site screams marketing, but this page is a good example of the types of things he offers.  Get past the marketing hype.  His stuff is excellent.
Workshops by Thagai Great collection of training games and activies
Webquests A technique used in elementary schools, but could be adapted for a self study in a content area.  A great utilization of the resources available online.
Creatology A paper on the need and rationale for teaching creativity.

John Bruer A critic of brain-based learning, Bruer questions the validity of brain-based learning.  It's worth looking at the other side of the discussion.
