| Food set up: | Ask ten to twelve ethnic restaurants to donate a dish that is representative of their food that would work well for sampling. Try to find things people have never eaten. In exchange, put out copies of their menus for the womrn to take. This winds up being "free" advertising for them. Use small plates for people to sample the food to "taste and see" something new. |

In the inner city we have access to lots of ethnic restaurants. Be sure to invite the restaurant owner to attend. (They will likeley turn you down, but may welcome the opportunity.) Be sure to promote the supporting restaurants and ask the women to mention that they tasted the food at this event. This is a double outreach, since it touches the restaurant community as well.
