Who
were the Philippians?
In lesson two, you learned
as much as you could about Paul. Go back over the same sheets you
worked with for Paul, and circle (or highlight) every reference to the
recipients of the letter, (including pronouns) in orange.
1
Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,
To all the saints
in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons:
2 Grace and
peace to you
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I
thank
my God
every time I
remember
you.
4 In all my
prayers
for all of you,
I always pray with joy...
Use the following chart to record
the information you discover about the Philippians in each chapter.
(You can print out the chart or use "File-->Save as" to save it and work
online in your word processor.) The first three verses are started
for you. It may seem like some of this information repeats concepts
from Paul, but remember, you are looking for information about the Philippians.
When you have finished, answer the questions at the end.
